Many people here in Nevada ride motorcycles. Motorcycles have just as much of a right to the roads as other motor vehicles. It is very important for motor vehicle drivers to respect the rights of motorcyclists.
When motor vehicle drivers fail to watch for motorcycles when behind the wheel or fail to act in a responsible manner when driving in areas where motorcycles are present, it can result in motorcycle accidents occurring.
Motorcycles accidents can be an incredibly serious type of auto accident. Motorcyclists can suffer major injuries in such accidents. Such accidents can sometimes even result in a motorcyclist's death.
Recently, a fatal motorcycle accident occurred in Las Vegas.
Last Saturday, a 25-year-old man from Las Vegas was riding a motorcycle on Rainbow Boulevard. The motorcycle was going north.
A southbound car then went onto the road's northbound side, at which point the motorcycle braked. The motorcycle went onto its side and ejected the 25-year-old man. The 25-year-old man and the motorcycle were then hit by the car.
The article on KTNV's website which reported this story did not mention if it is yet known what specifically caused the car to go onto the wrong side of the road. The article also did not mention if any charges are expected to be brought in connection to this auto crash.
The 25-year-old man died as a result of this motor vehicle accident. The above-mentioned KTNV article did not say if the driver of the car was hurt or not in the crash.
